I’m Letting Go

Mistakes I’ve made,

Things I’ve done,

All my life is filled with regrets.

Seems like this is all I’ll ever know.

There’s got to be something better than this life.

I hear a voice, a still small voice,

Calling out my name,

Telling me to come to Him,

Lay it down,

At His feet,

And let it all go.

Now I’m here, on my knees.

I’m laying it all down

Letting it all go.

The burden is being lifted,

I feel Him picking me up,

And standing me on my feet again.

Heartbroken, failures

Nothing seems to go the way it should.

The pain is here,

It’s so severe.

It still seems like this is all I’ll ever know.

Then I hear that voice, that still small voice

Calls out my name once again.

He keeps on telling me to come to Him,

And lay it all down at His feet again.

The burdens are lifted, it feels so good.

I know He picked me up,

And put me on my feet once again.

So whatever you’re facing,

You don’t have to keep holding it

And give it all to Him.

He’ll lift the burden,

Pick you up,

And put you back on your feet again.

Letting Go, is basically a reflection on my passed and the choices I had made. Things I was holding on to for so long, I finally let it all go and gave it to God.
