When You Lifted Me
But then you lifted me in your arms
Thats when I knew everything would be alright.
I wouldn't have to worry anymore.
You'd always be by my side.
Holding my hand helping me make it through.
Because when you lifted me in your arms...
You opened my eyes.

I'm Never Letting Go
I'm Never Letting Go
(verse)
I know it's only been a short time
But in this time together
I fell in love with you
And know that we have both made some mistakes
But I just want you to know
That I'm not letting go.
(Chorus)
I'll hold on
When things seem easy
I'll hold on
When the road looks rough ahead
No matter what we're going through
I'll never leave your side
I'll hold on
I'm never letting
Yeah I'll hold on
Cause I'm never letting go
This song is the only one of my songs that actually has a tune or melody to it. I wrote it for someone who I really love and now more than ever before it truly has a meaning to it.

They're With Jesus Now
They’re With Jesus Now
By: Casandra Lambert
In Memory of Jacob Nance & Justin Simmons
(Verse 1)
I’m sitting here, looking around.
I see a casket where they’re body lays.
I see friends and family, and many tear filled eyes
But why can’t I find it in my heart to be sad?
I guess it’s because I know exactly where they’re at.
There’s no reason to be sad.
Yes we’re going to miss them,
But I know they’re Father must have missed them more.
For He called them home to be with Him,
In His arms, forevermore.
(Chorus)
They’re with Jesus now.
They’re with Jesus now.
They’re in His arms, Forevermore.
They’re with Jesus now.
They’re with Jesus now.
They’re happier than They’ve ever been.
For He took away all their pain,
They’re with Jesus now.
They’re with Jesus now.
And I know that we see them again,
For they are with Jesus now.
(Verse 2)
Now I can only imagine the smile on their face.
When they woke up by their Father’s side,
And I only imagine how amazing look
Dancing and praising Him now.
And I can see them now talking to Him
Asking Him to watch over us and keep us safe
Till we’re all together again.
And I know we’ll all be together again.
For they’re with Jesus now.
(Tag)
And on that day, When He calls us all home,
They’ll be waiting there for us all.
And what a great joy there’ll be
When we see them again
This is also a revised song in memory of Jacob and Justin
She's with Jesus Now
She’s With Jesus Now
By: Casandra Lambert
(Verse 1)
I’m sitting here, looking around.
I see a casket where her body lays.
I see friends and family, and many tear filled eyes
But why can’t I find it in my heart to be sad?
I guess it’s because I know exactly where she’s at.
There’s no reason to be sad.
Yes I’m goin’ to miss her,
But I know her Father must have missed her more.
For He called her home to be with Him,
In His arms, forevermore.
(Chorus)
She’s with Jesus now.
She’s with Jesus now.
She’s in His arms, Forevermore.
She’s with Jesus now.
She’s with Jesus now.
She’s happier than she’s ever been.
For He took away all her pain,
She’s with Jesus now.
She’s with Jesus now.
And I know that I’ll see her again,
For she’s with Jesus now.
(Verse 2)
Now I can only imagine the smile on her face.
When she woke up by her Father’s side,
And I only imagine how beautiful she looks
Dancing and praising Him now.
And I can see her now talking to Him
Asking Him to watch over us and keep us safe
Till we’re all together again.
And I know we’ll be together again.
For she’s with Jesus now.
(Tag)
And on that day, When He calls us all home,
She’ll be waiting there for us all.
And what a great joy there’ll be
When we see her again
She's With Jesus Now was written during the funeral of my sister. I really don't know how to explain the song or even the feeling behind. I believe that words tell it all.
He Gives Peace
He Gives Peace
By: Casandra Lambert
(Verse 1)
It doesn’t seem fair,
How could this happen?
Families shouldn’t have to go through so much pain.
But in the midst of all the sorrow,
We can know that God is still by our sides
(Chorus)
He gives us peace
That passes understanding.
He gives us strength
When we cannot go on
He gives us comfort
When we are hurting
He is by our side
When we are all alone
He’s our God, and He is here.
(Verse 2)
The hurting is as its worse.
And the tears fill up our eyes.
We feel like we have lost everything.
Still in the midst of all the pain,
We can know that God is still by our sides.
(Chorus)
He gives us peace
That passes understanding.
He gives us strength
When we cannot go on
He gives us comfort
When we are hurting
He is by our side
When we are all alone
He is our God, and He is here.
(Tag)
Peace, strength, and comfort.
He gives these things….
For He’s our God, and He is here.
This one was written on Christmas day 2009, on the way to a funeral home. One of the few darkest days of my life. The day after my oldest sister passed away from pneumonia. I didn't understand why this could happen to our family, and family who loved God with all our hearts. But all the while one verse kept going in my head "He gives peace that passes all understanding..."
The Rose
The Rose
By: Casandra Lambert
(Verse 1)
A beautiful rose,
Picked for the right one,
Taken away by someone who didn’t care.
Thrown to the ground, and trampled upon,
The beauty within is now all gone.
It’s broken and torn
No one will ever want it.
Till this man comes along
And picks it up off the ground,
He takes it with him.
(Chorus)
He wants the rose!
Even though it’s been trampled
Even though it’s broken and torn
He wants the rose!
Even though the beauty’s gone,
He wants the rose!
(Verse 2)
He takes the rose, makes it His own.
He loved that broken rose
He gave it all it needed
He restored its life,
And made it beautiful again.
(Chorus)
He wants the rose.
Even though it’s been trampled
Even though it’s been broken and torn
He wants the rose.
Even though the beauty’s now gone
He wants the rose.
(Bridge)
When you feel like you’re worthless
Been trampled upon
Even though you’ve been broken and torn
And your beauty’s all gone
(Final Chorus)
He wants you!
Even though you’ve been trampled
Even though you’ve been broken and torn
He wants you!
Even though the beauty within you is now gone
He wants you
(Tag)
Jesus wants you!
And He’ll make you the beautiful rose…
Again
The Rose. Oh how I do love this one. It has a meaning that some might not pick up right away. It talks about how you may feel so worthless, like nobody cares anymore.. but there is one person who loves you.
Press On
Press On
By: Casandra Lambert
(Verse 1)
You have a past,
You’ve made mistakes.
Every day you hear people say
You’re still the same, you’ll never change.
And as the days go by, that same old past continues haunt,
Reminding you of all you’ve done wrong.
As you sit alone, planning to give up.
You remember what happened in your life not long ago.
(Chorus)
Keep pressing on,
Keep running toward the throne.
Forget those things that are behind you,
And reach out for the things before.
Don’t listen to what they say, Keep that faith,
And keep pressing on
(Verse 2)
I know the path looks so rough ahead,
You can’t see though the storms, over the hills, or around the walls.
You know it’s gonna hurt, but you gotta run strait through.
You start to run, you feel the pain.
And even though at one point you feel like giving in,
You know that you have to…
(Chorus)
Keep pressing on,
Keep running toward the throne.
Forget those things behind you,
And reach out to the things before.
Don’t listen to what they say, Keep that faith,
And keep pressing on.
(Bridge)
Fight the good fight,
Keep the faith,
Lay aside everything that’ll hold you back,
Run with patience,
Finish the course.
You got people on your side, cheering for you.
And when you’re done
They’ll see you get the crown
(Final Chorus)
So keep pressing on,
Keep running toward the throne.
Forget those things behind you,
And reach out for the things before.
Don’t listen to what the people say…
And keep pressing on!!
Press On was written to a friend who was going through a rough patch in their life. It was my way to tell him and every one who read it or hears it... to keep pressing on even when everything seems to be going wrong and people are expecting you to fail.
I Just Can't Say It
I Just Can’t Say It
By: Casandra Lambert
(Verse 1)
He took my heart and promised not to break it.
He gave me hope then took it all away.
I gave him everything I knew to give.
I know it’s my fault he’s not still in my life…
But every day I wish I had never said the things I said.
And I know you’re not the same,
I know you may not be that way,
But it’s so hard to be with you
When I still long to be with him…
(Chorus)
I just can’t say it,
My heart’s not ready.
It’s too soon to say
What my heart truly feels.
I know I want to,
But I’ve just been so hurt,
It’s just too soon to say…
(Verse 2)
I know exactly how I feel for you,
It’s just I’m not ready to feel that way again.
It gonna be a while before I can do it.
I know you don’t like it,
But please try to understand….
(Chorus)
I just can’t say it
My heart’s not ready.
It’s too soon to say
What my heart truly feels
I know I want to,
But I’ve just been so hurt.
It’s still too soon to say….
I love you.
Oh it’s just too soon… to say I love you.
:) Every great writer has that one "love song"
Nothing's Impossible
Nothing’s Impossible
By: Casandra Lambert
(Verse 1)
There’s so much I dream of doing with my life.
But everyone around me tells me it can’t be done.
I start to lose faith; I begin to think they’re right.
Then someone steps out next to me,
Tells me they’re all wrong.
He tells me that with Him by my side,
Nothing’s impossible.
(Chorus)
For with Him, Nothing’s impossible.
With Him by my side, He’ll make a way.
I can do anything, though Him alone.
For with God… Nothing’s impossible.
(Verse 2)
Now I’m standing here
On my mountain top.
I’m doing things the people said could never be done.
I didn’t do it on my own,
I did it with a friend.
A friend who is much stronger than me
And through Him.. Nothing is impossible.
(Chorus 2)
For with Him nothing’s impossible
With Him by my side, He always makes a way.
I can do anything, through Him alone.
For With God… Nothing’s impossible
(Bridge)
Even when everyone around says it can’t be done
Just remember Though God nothing…
Nothing’s Impossible!!
(Last Chorus)
For with God nothing’s impossible
With God by your side, He’ll always make a way.
We can do anything, through Him alone.
For with Him… Nothing’s impossible
This song was written while I was trying to push for some dreams and also dealing with people who were pushing me down and telling me it couldn't be done. This song is basically saying to my doubters that I don't care what they say because I know that anything is possible if I give it my all.
I'm Letting Go
I’m Letting Go
By: Casanda Lambert
(Verse 1)
Mistakes I’ve made,
Things I’ve done,
All my life is filled with regrets.
Seems like this is all I’ll ever know.
There’s got to be something better than this life.
I hear a voice, a still small voice,
Calling out my name,
Telling me to come to Him,
Lay it down,
At His feet,
And let it all go.
(Chorus)
Now I’m here, on my knees.
I’m laying it all down
Letting it all go.
The burden is being lifted,
I feel Him picking me up,
And standing me on my feet again.
(Verse 2)
Heartbroken, failures
Nothing seems to go the way it should.
The pain is here,
It’s so severe.
It still seems like this is all I’ll ever know.
Then I hear that voice, that still small voice
Calls out my name once again.
He keeps on telling me to come to Him,
And lay it all down at His feet again.
(Chorus2)
Now I’m here, on my knees again.
I’m laying it down,
And letting it go again.
The burdens are lifted, it feels so good.
I know He picked me up,
And put me on my feet once again.
(Bridge)
So whatever you’re facing,
You don’t have to keep holding it
You can let it go
And give it all to Him.
So let it go,
Lay it down,
He’ll lift the burden,
Pick you up,
And put you back on your feet again.
Letting Go, is basically a reflection on my passed and the choices I had made. Things I was holding on to for so long, I finally let it all go and gave it to God.
